    Default GMC arcadia sucks

Ok, my wife's vehicle is an 07 arcadia with appx 68k of miles. Her average commute is 2 miles 4 days a week(flmao). Now, she drives down to the springs at least once a week for grandma time with the kids. While she was down there last week, she had the check engine light come on. She took the car into her dad's mechanic who said the o2 sensor was jacked. So he replaced it, and I asked him to also replace the battery. No big deal right, well she comes home on friday and on Sunday i took the kids to Murdochs to get some rootbeer and a saw. The damn stabiltrak goes to hell, the check engine light comes on, and the engine lacks any power to go anywhere. It basically breaks down about a mile from the store. No big deal, wife comes and picks up the kids, i give the car some time to breath and it starts back up. It runs fine and I can drive it home. So I call GMC this morning and tell them i need to bring it in. So same damn thing happens again, but before i get to the dealership a loud bang goes off. I fiugred a fuse blew, but who knows. I'm so pissed off at this vehicle, and frigg'n gmc. After that fuse or what the hell ever blew i was hoping that it would start on fire, and i'd let it burn. I'd even through some dry weeds on it to help send it off. So we'll see what happens tomorrow after the dealership runs diags. In 1 month time frame here's what has failed:

    power steering pump
    water pump
    tires
    o2 sensor
    battery

I frigg'n take good care of this thing, and here i am, almost 5k in the hole on repairs. Time to get rid of it!

    Bummer.

There hasn't been a quality vehicle built in the states since the early 70's. Think I'll stick to my imports.

    Default thanks gubment motors

Ask Obama for a bailout. GM got one. I'd find a good independent shop so they get no more of your money.

The first two are BS. The last three aren't surprising. GM must be building cars for 70k life now instead of 100k.

I'm ashamed to say I agree. I still love American trucks but my last two cars have been Nissan.

I currently own a 1993 GMC truck. It was built in Mexico. My previous truck was a Nissan. It was built in Tenessee.

Neither one of them are as nice as the Honda's and Nissan's I've owned that were made in Japan.

And my last Ford truck was made in Canada. Just doesn't feel right. I'll stick with Nissan.

Yup, many "domestics" are made overseas and many "imports" are made right here.

Cars.com does a report each year of the most "american" cars based on sales, parts content (including considering how many Americans are employed by manufacturing said parts and cars) and place of manufacture. Some of the cars on the list will surprise you...like the fact that the Toyota Camry is the number 1 most American car 4 years running.

I am not a fan of the Acadia at all based on the few times I have rented them, but based on this cars.com report, they are highly "American".

And the Tundra is the most American made truck. F150 is 2nd.

Edit: or I read a recent article pointing that way. The cars.com shows differently.
