Default School supply shopping at Walmart

Not sure whats worse. Midnight Christmas shopping at Walmart or school supply shopping. Never thought I would have to throw elbows over school supplies.

Damn, either one sounds like a day at Wally World I wouldn't want to be there. At least on Black Friday you don't have to beat on kids huh?

Went on sunday. It was a day from hell! Shit scattered all over the place. People pushing to get the last white special erasers. It was absurd.

That's what we did too... Staples.com delivered to your home in 2 days. It probably cost us $5 more this way, but didn't have to go into walmart and fight the crowds

go a week early. Save the list from this year, use it next year early. Most likely the same items needed.

For you guys that have done this before. Why in the hell is my 5 year-old expected to show up with 48 No.2 pencils? The only thing I can think of is that I am supplying the whole school with pencils, especially for the kids of the parents that didn't buy any. Same thing with a ream of white printer paper.

The answer is yes and no.
Some supplies are for the school and some are for just your kid.
You should see the cases and cases of copy paper in the office after the kids bring in their school supplies.

the theory is that your kid will use 2 pencils a week throughout the school year. and if everyone brings the same yellow #2's your kid wont get shanked for her "hello kitty" pencil
