Trigger on my DPMS lower is great for building up the strength in my trigger finger but stinks for target shooting and getting ready for Hunting season.

Thinking on replacing my trigger. Gots a friend who is knowledgeable in putting it in but which do I buy.

I am thinking on the CMC, but what do you think?

If AR triggers are the question, Giessele is the answer. Buy once cry once.

I'm running a JP trigger & springs, but went back to the stock hammer/ spring as light strikes while not the norm, 1 or2 is unacceptable. This happened on different caliber uppers not .223 specifically.

Single Stage, JP.

Two Stage, Geissele.

Damn Geissele...Bought my first a few weeks back for a new build...now I can't stand to squeeze my other AR triggers...wonder if I can get a discount on a dozen of the freakin things?

You really need to try them out.

For single stage, the Jard, JP, and CMC are all solid options, but there are still some things to watch for. JP has an EZ fit (I don't like it) and the original which is very good.

In two stage (which I don't prefer) the AR-Gold, Geiseele and RRA are three solid options, again with specific differences.

Seeing as how you are in TX, find the local club that shoots three gun and go with the puppy face and beg to shoot some different triggers to try them out.

CMC's seem to be decent triggers at a fair price. We sell a boatload of the RRA National Match triggers when they're in stock (a batch is arriving next week). Geissele's are more expensive, but are even nicer (We have our first batch hitting next week). Timney's are nice too. Depending on if you want a 2-stage or a single stage would be the biggest determining factor for which route to take, and how much you want to spend.

None of the triggers mentioned are "just a name". ALL of them work well, but some better than others, in different manners than others.
