Just to see what kind of problems that occur in our little circle. What, if any problems have You ever had with Your AR while at the range or hunting with it. No matter how small, I'd like to hear about it and what You did to correct it at the scene or if You had to wait untill You got home to fix it.

FTE. Tore the rim off the brass (Fed American Eagle). Tapped out brass with a cleaning rod, cleaned the chamber, never happened again. Good example of keeping an old-fashioned cleaning kit handy.

FTF and FTE with lacquered Wolf in my very first time shooting my very first AR. Quit using Wolf.

Trigger pins walking on one I assembled, took it apart and put the springs in correctly :mrgreen:

FTE and FTF on some cheapo ammo. Ammo was the reason that I can see for the issues. On the other hand I did replace a buffer spring that I felt was a bit worn out.

i was lazy and didnt take apart my bolt all the way when cleaning it one to many times. the result was the blot seized up. good thing Lawrence from Soecitaly Sports was out shooting with me, because i am not even close to an armor but he was one in the Gaurd. he got it up and running in a few minutes. with a little banging and some oil. as well as a lot of cleaning.

he also tought me the lesson of good mags and gave me a HK mag so i could keep my FS2000 shooting. those things are really picky on what brand mag they like. it wouldnt even use the FN mag that came with it.

I have never had a problem with my RRA. Not one. It only sees brass cased ammo though...wait, I did shoot one box of Silver Bear steel cased but it wasn't laquer coated.

Both bolts that my pistol uppers came with had weak extractor springs, which turned out to be a real pain with FTE. Replaced both with new Wolff springs, and never had one single issue since.

Ordered them online and installed at home because I didn't have any spare parts, but I promptly corrected that! [abused]

I had a USA mag in a Bushy about 15 years ago and jammed an empty casing up above the bolt and mashed up the works. Had to do the drive the butt into the ground thing to clear it.

Threw away all my non GI mags and haven't had a mag issue since on any of my AR's.

I built a Model 1 pistol kit and it was missing the ejector...didn't notice until I was at the range test firing it. I had a spare B/BC...so that was an easy fix.

In my 20" Dedicated Technology precision/bench rifle chambered in 6x45 I use a brass catcher and it will sometimes cause FTE because I forget to empty the bag.

My Colt LE6920 had a firing pin break. Again easy parts swap and fix.

Other than that, no real range problems with any of them.
