USMC 2841 Ground Radio Repairman from '96-'01. A year at 29 Palms for electronics school, then 4 at Camp Pendleton (3/1 oorah) with one WESTPAC in the middle. Like a few of the others here, I was also in between conflicts.

Made Corporal (E-4) pretty fast, but my cutting score for Sergeant was unattainable. There were so few of us comm-techs in the Corps, you had to wait for someone to retire or die to get promoted above E-4.
