Default What was your Rate or MOS in the military????

I know there is a decent amount of folks on here who served this great Country.
Im curious what you all did while in the service.

In the Navy my "Rate" or MOS for you USMC and Army guys,
I was a Gunner's Mate (Missiles) and I worked on a Tomahawk Vertical Launching System.
I acchieved the rank of E-5, 2nd Class Petty Officer and my title was GM2 (Last Name) from 1996 to 2000.

Me in summer of 99 on the Empire State building for "Fleet Week"

I fired the #7 bird onto Sudan in summer of 98 in the Red Sea.
I was part of the VBSS (Visit Board Search Seizure) team for all my deployments
for enforcing UN Sanctions while in the Persian Gulf. I also did a ton of work in the
Armory onboard , basically perfroming repairs and preventative maintenance on
the M-14, Rem 870, M9 Beretta, M60, M79...never got to shoot that puppy and
    the wonderfully badass Browning M2.

I guess that is where I attained my love of firearms and the desire to be very proficient
with them all. To this day though, I hate the M9 and will never own one
and really hate cleaning firearms after shooting, I do it only because if not, my firearms can be ruined.
I will post pics later of me onboard if I can find them!!!!!

Lets hear what ya did while you allowed the rest of us to have freedom

Also for the dupe police, I think this is an acceptable dupe thread if there is even one still active

Heading to the Red Sea from the Persian Gulf at full speed in 30+ ft seas to get on station for
Sudan to get some of our wonderful toys shoved up their .........

Sparrow shot on a drone in summer of 99 off the Virginia, Maryland coasts (Not actual pic, but this was a test firing i 89-90 timeframe onboard the Briscoe)

    I was a 35F- Intelligence...

That's all I can say about it
Just kidding. I was the S2 ANCOIC, PSD Team member, Base Ops ASOG for our FOB in Afghanistan, and firearms instructor. I was with 3IBCT, 10th Mountain Division, and deployed in support of OEF IX/X (12/08-12/09). Qualified expert in M4, M203, M9 and taught familiarization with the AK-47.
Served 4 years, 10/06-10/10, couldn't re-up due to injury and surgery... but am A-OK now! Got out as an E-4 (CPL)
Me with my PSD team before a mission

Currently waiting for the next opening to get on Jefferson County SO. I guess I just can't get away from service.

I made PO3 a couple of times and after being in for a couple of years, I finally figured out that my primary MOS was 1369 and just went with! Can anybody relate?

Uh, isn't that a RIM-116? The Sea Sparrow launcher is the eight pack box launcher in the foreground.

    Sorry, couldn't help myself!
