Default Fire selector a bit "rough"

So I thought everything was smooth on my first AR build but upon further inspection the ambi fire selector seems to be a bit rough - Compared to my Bushmaster it's REALLY rough.

There also seems to be some *very* fine metal shavings on the left hand side after turning it.....I'm certainly not impressed with THAT!

Is this something that gets better with time (I've heard gritty triggers seem to work themselves out) or should I start pulling it apart?

    Default Found the problem....

I pulled the grip off and disassembled the fire selector.

Found that there was "machining irregularities" on the left side of the ambi switch causing the grinding....a **little bit** of filing and all is well!

As in making sure it was there??

    I'm a newbie to building....not an idiot!

The ambi selector just needed a small "adjustment".
