Wow... Just saw it last night, and holy crap, it scared me. If only 1/3 of those die-hard, nothing but Obama folks were to see this (with an open mind, but that's asking quite a bit) I think it would really raise an eyebrow or two. Very well made, and he takes an honest approach. He really did want to get to know him, and at times you almost wonder if Dinesh was concealing his conservatism in parts so he could try and see who Obama really is. I love the tag line at the very end: Obama- Love him, hate him, now you know him. I would reccommend this movie to everyone, liberal, conservative, libertarian, Tea Party, Occupy, whoever... Of course there already is an article trying to discredit Dinesh, but after reading it there are no facts to back up the author's claims that it's a propaganda film.

Dinesh D'Sousa is a well-known political writer and speaker and has been for at least a few years. I went and saw him talk at a public event at the Air Force Academy a few years ago about the threats and falacies of multiculturalism and moral reletavism. There is no way that Obama does not / did not know this during their interactions.
I'm hoping to see the movie this weekend.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of his lectures online and read some of his essays- I was referring to the making of the film, I think there were times where people didn't know who he was so he didn't bother to explain in depth what his views are. Go see it... right now... don't let any cobras stand in your way- you are the HoneyBadger! You don't give a shit!![]()

I understand what Ronin is talking about with Desouza burying some of his beliefs and trying to be fair and even-handed. He didn't go down the birther avenue at all, simply stating that Beeho was born in Hawaii and there were 2 birth announcements that week in the local papers.
The interview with Beeho's half-brother was interesting. Desouza brought up Beeho's speech comment that we should all be "our brothers keeper", and asked if the half-brother was helped in any way by Beeho. The half-brother responded that no he hadn't, but that Beeho had bigger things to worry about than him. That seemed to be a balanced way of looking at that...

Exactly... It's not like a Moore "documentary" (I'd say video op-ed piece) where it is so slanted you get a little nauseous. He did try to honestly and fairly approach it, but obviously he knew that he was setting out to show that Obama is clearly not a good guy. I just don't understand all these people calling it propaganda, and saying he's only trying to discredit Obama. People did the same to Bush, Palin, McCain, anyone who runs for office is going to be put under the microscope. You can't get mad when they find dirt under their fingernails.
