    Default Be careful out there

Just got word from a female friend that she was attacked by 3 males at her home last night. They were trying to break in and she confronted them.

More info would help spread the word.

I haven't gotten the entire story yet. They made it into the garage and were trying to get into the house from there.

Both eyes black, bruised jaw, bruises to the arms from punches.

Does the garage count as part of your residence in regards to the "make my day" law? I want to say yes, but I've heard of weird instances where it isn't always cut and dry.
Whenever my wife asks me why I never wear pants around the house I simply remind her:

Another sad reminder that we all need to be prepared for a situation like this at all times. I hope your friend has a speedy recovery, and I hope those criminals try to break into another house and leave with a few more 45 caliber assholes punched in them.

From my understanding-if the garage is attached to the home and has a direct entrance to the home then yes, it is part of the home.
    Detached, then no.

    Default College

Up here the college students are back in town so I anticipate the crime rate to rise shortly, especially attacks on the women folk. The police will be out in force on the weekends and cracking down on the parties especially hard I am told.

    Stay safe.
