    Default Friend of mine. Centennial home robbery yesterday

    Came home and pulled up facebook last night, and a very close (female) friend of mine had posted up about walking in on two intruders.

    I immediatly called her but it turns out it had happened around 330 in the afternoon yesterday. (meaning her first thought wasnt facebook lol).

    Long story short;

    She goes out to run an errand, her brand new husband is at work and she has the day off. She comes home to find the back sliding glass door open. She assumes that her husband came home early because they were having work done in their yard. Around the corner walks a hispanic male. She even assumes that her husband was home, and let the guy in to grab water or something. then she notices him holding her husbands backpack and in that flash of a moment puts everything together.

    The hispanic guy yells to somebody else, and runs past my friend to leave out the back door again. Out comes a black guy running for the same door. in the middle of this my friend runs out the front door. The intruders climb back over the fence and run past my friend again, now in the front yard on the phone. At that same moment a neighbor drives up and she yells to him. That guy takes off after the intruders.

    Great discriptions of both guys, and the car they ran too and sped off in. Of course police are skepticle about making any arrests. Scary thing though is that she (her husband) has 5 guns in the house and they were all laid out on the bed. Obviously the guys were going to take them. They didnt get a chance on this one.

    Police apparently said that they lifted a lot of good prints off of the door and one of the guns in particular. (they took that gun back with them).

    I know that I'm preaching to the choir here, but this was centennial. It's here. Whatever "it" is... It's here. Our neighborhoods, our streets, our friends, our movie theaters, our homes.

    The intruders went so far as to go through her underwear drawer, and not to make light of anything, they even were messing with her,,, ahem,,, "bob". if you get my drift. Her, her husband and I will be making a trip out to Bob's range so that I can intruduce her to him, and get her signed up for the CCW class he provides out there.

    Be vigilant out there guys. You absolutely never know when "it's" coming....

    she was lucky they didn't assault her, most robbers would kinda panic when the home owner comes home

    My thought too.. Even if they didnt plan on doing something VERY bad to her,, I was thinking about one of them just planting a good right hook on her to put her down and out for awhile to get away. She is pretty petite, slender etc. the right punch would have done some major damage.

    They did make off with a bunch of jewlery. including some stuff that they had given eachother on their wedding day (which was like a month ago)..

    they made off with her dads stamp collection. yeah that was my thought too.... lol... but apparently they had it apparaised like 3 years ago and it was worth $11000. Could be worth more now, and you know those guys are going to sell it for like $100 of weed... lol....

    just a bummer. she feels pretty violated and stuff.
