Thanks for the welcomes. Actually I am a DoD civilian who has seen more time in combat zones than many of the military I work with. In Korea I lead a US/Korean team that monitored the performance (I am quality assurance) of Korean Air Lines who perform the depot level maintenence the the USAF (and some USMC) aircraft in the Pacific theater (F-15, F-16, C-130, A-10, HH-60, CH-53). I worked at the KAL facility at Gimhae Airport near Busan; about as far south as you can get.
My guns are still in my house in StL, locked in my safe...I hope. There I worked doing QA on new A/C production at McDonnell Douglas and later Boeing (F-15, F-18, AV-8, T-45, C-17).
Now I'm here at Lockheed Martin Space Systems working on the new GPSIII satellite program. A big departure from airplanes!
