That's nice! I heard one of the victims was uninsured and his hospital bill was around 2 mil. Just crappy I say!

"I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it."

I smell Liberal Democrats.
I feel like this whole thing is super entitlement driven. I realize the tragedy that this shooting was it when I watched the news conference there was zero mention of how the victims were doing, what they needed it for, and why they need it now.
Seemed like a lot of greedy family saying " give me the money now!!!!" it was almost disgusting.
This is just another example of modern entitlement. The family made it sound like it was almost a blessing to be involved with the tragedy so they could get money. Ugh.
- They want victims and families on the charity committee (major conflict of interests)
-They blamed the Gov for not holding to his word and asked him to intervene.
-They regarded their action to get the money to the victims as a "Fight for Justice"
They are doing everything but outright demanding it. However they are certainly doing everything to show they think they are entitled to it.
Wasn't the news, it was the news conference with the families.
I think that this whole deal is going to be pretty traumatic for all involved. They already dealt with a terrible event and now everyone is going to be at each others throats (already started) over some money that was donated. Nobody had to give a dime but out of the goodness of their hearts they did and now it's all drama.
I'm just saying that I hope they don't forget about the tragedy and just make this thing about money. Remember the lawsuit that was filed ~24 hours after the shooting that cited the theater didn't keep them safe? Everyone feels like they are owned something and they a trying to make this their excuss to be owed.
Exactly how I felt. I thought the victim's families embarrassed themselves on tv. The only people that have even a remote reason for being upset are the donors who thought thier money was going to go to victims. However, they should have done thier research.
The victims and the families should have stood up on tv, said "thanks" to the donors and said they are working with the charity to make sure the donotions help. Not complained that THEY didn't get the the FREE money they are entitled to.
There may be fine print, But this leaves me speechless!
Be true to your Family and Friends! A handshake, and your word is all it takes!!
2 things...
I only donate goods to to people now via local community, where we have to meet f2f so they can get their goods. Or, something similar where I can see the direct benefit.
Majority of charities/non profits always have a founding cause, look at their business license to see who holds the cause, lots of times you'll find a liberal owner who is using it as their tax write off...example: George Soros...
It's sad that a tragedy such as this, has brought out the worse in everybody, and by the way, the more shootings...the more gun control! Nobody sells guns like the democrats.
