I would have (knowing now what I didnt back then) taken the unemployment and
sucked off the gov teat for as long as I could. Take the fall and winter off to snowboard and
be a bum!!!!!!
But I was told my a guy who had the unemployment licked (he was a dirtbag (diehard) rock climber)
and always said he worked when economy sucked and took off when it was good.
