How many people elected in to office believe in the Constitution, all of it not pick & choose?
We know one side feels the 2nd is an out dated amendment and needs to be revisited. I doubt there is one elected official who supports the constitution across the board.

That is an excellent question Jim. I am inclined to agree with you that most if not all elected officials think the constitution should be modified in some way that directly benefits them, their idea, or some contributor.

The Constitution itself spells out how it can be modified or amended. There is nothing wrong with changing the Constitution, as long as the Constitutional process for changing the Constitution is followed.

The top two definitions for Religion:

    re·li·gion   [ri-lij-uhn]
    noun
    1.
a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
    2.
a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects: the Christian religion; the Buddhist religion.

Using the second definition, I believe that many of today's modern technological wonders are worshiped and this belief informs my opinion that science is the predominant religion of western culture.

    YMMV

Some say it is the Almighty Dollar that is most worshiped; perhaps a derivative of your "belief".

If I was Obama, I'd just nuke it...
I'm actually in the process of writing a novel about a group of "homegrown" "terrorists" doing just that... well not nuking it, but destroying it, or shall I say attempting to- I'm not going to ruin the ending in case it does get published. Kind of a Jack Ryan-esque book, and I'm more than sure if the book makes it and gets published I'll end up like Brad Thor.

In case we're still keeping track. A 14 year old blew himself up outside of ISAF HQ yesterday. All the victims were Afghans. Most were Children.

What is the score of the [insert local NFL franchise here] game?

Seriously though. The bombing Mick-Boy brought up is one of the reasons we're over there. We're not there because we can save Afghan children, because we can't save Afghan children. We're there because we don't want that kind of activity here in our cities, on our streets, in front of our churches. Like I said before, we're going to fight this war whether we want to or not and I'll repeat - If we don't take it to them, they'll bring it here in Hometown, USA.

The only people who are going to stop these mass murders are Afghanis, once they get sick of it they'll end it. It is painfully obvious to me that they are not sick of it yet.
