Yep, I was lucky enough as I was already US resident and able to reach the embassy in time. My bro had to witness the most gruesome things. He said he can still smell it whenever he thinks back.

I was saying on another thread that once you see, feel, and smell death, it is no longer even remotely entertaining to look at pictures of it... And pictures or video won't capture the smell and taste of fear and death.

Sad that people can turn like that - but I believe it. Most Americans just do not understand anything about Islam - they can't believe it could happen here...

I know exactly what you mean, and the worst part of it all- you can't get rid of those images, feelings, and smells... At least I know I can't. After seeing my first dead body, up close, I know it'll have it forever burned into my memory.

Those memories have faded a little for me, but won't ever go away.
