some years ago the company I worked for had some ads in the paper for jobs that were a higher level than the one I had, so I went in to talk to H.R. about it and they said they were only running the ads to see what the job pool was like. maybe this is what they were up to. at the time they were hiring a lot of people from southeast Asia.
