    Default One upset woman!!!

Don't know if this has been around before but I saw it for the first time today.

Rough language but she really makes her point clear!

I don't think pissed really covers it!!!!!!!!!!!

Alan Simpson, Senator from Wyoming, Co-Chair of Obama's deficit commission, calls senior citizens the Greediest Generation as he compared "Social Security" to a Milk Cow with 310 million teats.

Here's a response in a letter from PATTY MYERS in Montana... I think she is a little ticked off! She also tells it like it is!

"Hey Alan, let's get a few things straight.

    1. As a career politician, you have been on the public dole for FIFTY YEARS.

    2. I have been paying Social Security taxes for 48 YEARS (since I was 15 years old. I am now 63).

3 My Social Security payments, and those of millions of other Americans, were safely tucked away in an interest bearing account for decades until you political pukes decided to raid the account and give OUR money to a bunch of zero ambition losers in return for votes, thus bankrupting the system and turning Social Security into a Ponzi scheme that would have made Bernie Madoff proud..

    4. Recently, just like Lucy & Charlie Brown, you and your ilk pulled the proverbial football away from millions of American seniors nearing retirement and moved the goalposts for full retirement from age 65 to age 67. NOW, you and your shill commission is proposing to move the goalposts YET AGAIN.

    5. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying into Medicare from Day One, and now you morons propose to change the rules of the game. Why? Because you idiots mismanaged other parts of the economy to such an extent that you need to steal money from Medicare to pay the bills.

    6. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying income taxes our entire lives, and now you propose to increase our taxes yet again. Why? Because you incompetent bastards spent our money so profligately that you just kept on spending even after you ran out of money. Now, you come to the American taxpayers and say you need more to pay off YOUR debt.

To add insult to injury, you label us "greedy" for calling "bullshit" on your incompetence. Well, Captain Bullshit, I have a few questions for YOU.

    1. How much money have you earned from the American taxpayers during your pathetic 50-year political career?

    2. At what age did you retire from your pathetic political career, and how much are you receiving in annual retirement benefits from the American taxpayers?

    3. How much do you pay for YOUR government provided health insurance?

    4. What cuts in YOUR retirement and healthcare benefits are you proposing in your disgusting deficit reduction proposal, or, as usual, have you exempted yourself and your political cronies?

It is you, Captain Bullshit, and your political co-conspirators called Congress who are the "greedy" ones. It is you and your fellow nutcases who have bankrupted America and stolen the American dream from millions of loyal, patriotic taxpayers. And for what? Votes. That's right, sir. You and yours have bankrupted America for the sole purpose of advancing your pathetic political careers. You know it, we know it, and you know that we know it.

And you can take that to the bank, you miserable son of a bitch.

If you like the way things are in America delete this. If you agree with what a fellow Montana citizen Patty Myers says, PASS IT ON!!!!

And I'm in my mid-30's, and paying SS and Medicare taxes for 20 years. And neither program will exist when I hit my mid-60's because people like her keep screaming for MO MONEY MO MONEY MO MONEY, well beyond anything that they paid into the system to begin with.

    No sympathy here.

She isn't "screaming for more money"...she's throwing the BS flag on them continuing to push the goal further out. She's right; the politicians looted the system to pay for their programs. They took money in the bank and used it for things they should not have. I've paid into that system for 28 years, and I don't think that expecting to see some benefit when my time comes is asking too much. (I don't believe it's going to happen, but that doesn't make it right.) So I fail to see why you label this as "someone screaming for mo money".

So even if this is a BS letter, the point is sound.

Having paid into it for 39 years now and still have 8 more to go before I can start collecting where do you get the "mo money" from? Like was said it was supposed to be put away and grow.

One of the big issues I see is how so many people that have paid nothing or very little get full benefits.

I remember one post by a man years ago that said Fine, do away with it and just give us the money we paid in back.

And it has been raided for every pet project known to man. Many go into convulsions knowing that there is $$$ just sitting there not being spent to fund diapers for monkeys in India because it is such a noble cause.
I see you running, tell me what your running from

Maybe it was supposed to be put away to grow. But it wasn't. Instead, the current recipients are getting transfer payments from the current payers. And the current recipients are receivng benefits well beyond what they actually paid in.

I'm not sure how it was supposed to "grow." There's no growth in government bonds, but that's not actually my problem. A given rate of return (or even giving back the money that my parents' generation paid in) is not my obligation. Maybe you've got a claim for all of the money you paid in, but that claim doesn't translate to an obligation by people younger than you. Your claim is against the people who are already collecting.

We both have a claim against those entrusted as caretakers of our money and it's all our problem collectively. You aren't excluded by virtue of your youth or indignation. Want to point a finger it's not your parents that lied, cheated and stole. Where exactly were you raised that you feel no obligation to care for the old and infirm? My wife takes supper to our elderly neighbor every night and without the generations that came before you wouldn't be here. You are right to think it's a raw deal but stop and think about those that have paid in longer than you have been alive. Raw deal all around unless you are a politician and you are right to be mad but sounds like you are mad at the wrong folks.
