Hippies and their logic

Ok this pertians to folks that bring up the idea of being drafted or even joining the military.

Hippy says something to the effect of, "I could never be part of big governement war machine,
nor could I kill babies (hate that fucking term BTW) and Id rather run to Mexico or Canada
then be in the military."

I always feel that these liberal hippies are just pansys at heart. That they do not ever
stand up for what they believe in or even enough to defend themselves
from any person and would rather give up their pride and self respect
to be unharmed and live another day.

Anyone else feel the same?

This is no way saying your a pansy if you didnt join the military or are not a scrapper etc.
I know the military isnt for everyone and we all have our reasons as to why we did or didnt.
I dont look down on anyone who didnt join, just the whiney liberal hippies that
whine about this context, as if they are beinf forced to be in the military etc.

ETA:
This also goes along the same lines as hippies are unnaturally afraid of anything firearm related.
That they couldnt even touch a firearm or use it to protect themselves from even an attacking bear.

Maybe 10% of the military is Combat Arms and the remaining 90% is support and logistics, so the hippie's point is moot. If you are morally opposed to killing there are plenty of non-combat military jobs available. They can apply for a "Gardener", "Dishwasher", or "Toilet Scrubber" MOS.

I think the problem boils down to ignorance; theirs. I think, if they think about it at all, they figure that ignorance is bliss and they go blithely through life with no real care for reality that exists outside their own. And to justify it to themselves you get the sort of display that GilpinGuy was privy to.

It's ok to never lift a finger to save your own life. It's called pacifism and that's fine. HOWEVER, a good man will always do whatever needs to be done in order to save another's life. Doing so shows you aren't a coward.
