Being a designer I personally think the Republican party is losing the race in design and marketing. They need to get their act together.
What I see in the new logo is a group of people embracing one another, getting along and cheering. This logo is really targeted to young Americans. The colors are trendy, the shapes are round (not square) and to me the crowd looks like their agreeing in what is being said. Which also symbolizes hope and change.
If I was a outsider and knew nothing about this group I would think they are very friendly and I would probably want to join them and their leader.
