    Default Vacation to California

    Hi all,
My family and I are taking a trip to California, we are going to see Mickey and all of the other kid attractions that the state offers in the Long Beach area. We are going to drive there and back. I plan on bringing a handgun. What are the restrictions in regard to having a weapon in your vehicle? I know that certain guns are not allowed in California, what handguns are forbidden? This state also has a magazine restriction, can I have high caps in my weapon? I was thinking of bringing my Beretta 92FS Brigadier.

    Thank you,
    William

Will go to this link it has the approved list of handguns CA allows. http://http://certguns.doj.ca.gov/

You can not take any magazine into CA that holds more than ten rounds it is a felony. You also must place your gun unloaded in a locked case and put it in the trunk before you enter that hell hole. You are allowed to take your firearm into the place you stay at and have it loaded for protection. Once you put it back in the car to transport it the above applies once again.

Almost every petty A$$ gun law CA has is a felony if you violate it. I personally would go to Disiney World it is better than DL anyway. Atleast in FL your permit is good and you don't have to worry about all the BS laws CA has.

Have fun on your trip and stay safe.

    Thank you Tim,
Agreed that California SUCKS. I would go to FL, where I'm from, but my wifes family is from California and they are paying. Do you know if I can have in a car, projectile type pepper spray IE Kimber's new life act?

To be legally purchased, possessed or used in California, any canister must have a label that says "WARNING: The use of this substance or device for any purpose other than self-defense is a crime under the law. The contents are dangerous--use with care." The maximum legal net weight for a canister is 2.5 ounces, or 70 grams of OC

This one should be legal in cali...

Mags have to be 10 rounds or less and i think that your colorado CCW permit will not apply there. Also in some parts it is actually illegal no matter what... (San Fransicko and a few others which I forget right now, IN those citys hanguns are outlawed no matter what)

So be carefull, If i were you i'd call some local police and ask them about it.

To be honest I'd skip the gun thing in california if I were you or just skip california all together keep your money out of the commies pockets Florida is way nicer and generally much lbetter than the Peoples Republic of California

    Not worth the potential risk.
