So, I had a couple of extra Magpul followers lying around for GI mags. I have quite a few of the latest generation GI mags with the tan/gold followers. While I am perfectly happy with the performance of the tan followers, I figured I might swap a couple of them out since I had the spare Magpul followers.

Popped one of the magazines apart and, to my surprise, not only are the tan followers an update but apparently the magazine springs used in the new generation of GI mags are different too. The Magpul followers won't work with these springs.

So, if you have the latest generation GI magazines with the tan followers, the only way you will be able to put the Magpul followers in them is if you also swap out the springs for the older style springs.

Just thought I would give you all a heads up. Even though I am sure the majority of you run the Pmags anyways.
