BVAC Ammo??

Has anyone had much experience with BVAC Ammo. I have done some reading online and a lot of people say it burns a little dirty. I am not too worried about that though since I use FrogLube now to clean all my firearms. Looks like a distributor for this ammo is in Littleton and they are at every CO gun show. Any Intel on the ammo good or bad would be appreciated.

It's the latest buzz in the gun maintenance world, f it works for you buy it.
I'm an old #9 user, followed up with a little 5w-20 synthetic oil for lube.
Each to their own.

I had a half case of BVAC 5.56 a couple years ago I bought at Tanner. Kept the cardboard box in case the stuff ever blew up or anything, but never had an issue. Every round fired normally and was at least as accurate as I was.

What makes it any diffrent than Hoppes 9 etc?? Any real backing to it being a better product and something I should look into? The price is a bit much but then again proceeds go to worthy causes.

You're asking the wrong guy, i still have some small tins of CLP laying around.

I looked into them a little while back as a source for training ammo. I found a lot of reports of their ammo causing problems (squib loads, popped primers, bullets that are unstable in flight, improperly labeled ammunition, rounds loaded with the wrong bullets, etc.). There were also a lot of comments about extremely poor customer service and questionable ethics. All this to say, I chose to avoid their product.

Regarding lube - If you're a guy who goes to the range and shoots 1-200 rounds in an afternoon, you won't see much difference buying something like Froglube (or my preference, Slip2000) over something cheaper. Where those products shine is when you're running a gun hard. Add a can and you'll really see a difference. They last a lot longer before burning off than CLP or similar.

I shoot it though my glock, so of course it works perfectly

They say that it's dirtier than other ammo but I've never noticed anything different, if you own something a bit more expensive or pretty than maybe you would notice something.

Used up about 1000 rounds of BVAC 9mm plinking ammo and JHP, both reman and new stuff. Doesn't seem to be dirty...never had an FTF with it either.
I would put it up there with federal, and above PMC.
