Well, since I have little else to do, I thought of this, It has been 34 years since I spent anytime at all in a hospital, July, 1973, Tore up My left knee on the bike, spent about 2 days, waiting to get My knee drained. Just glad they didn't have to use the large bore needle this time.

Things are starting to look up, the foot is almost back to its normal size and, as soon as the dead, scabby skin falls off, I should be able to walk normally again.

Sorry to hear about the foot Marlin, if it makes you feel any better, i'm now on day 3 of a gout attack in both my feet, and all my toes and all my fingers.

I've just been dealing with the right foot and ankle for the past week. That sounds like one hell of an attack. You have my sympathies. I've broken my hand twice, and a heavy onset of gout I've found to be far more painful. Hopefully you can tolerate indomethacin. I can't, so it's colchicine for me. Good luck with your meds and keep drinking plenty of water.

At least having gout gives me a good excuse to not eat internal organs (liver, kidneys, "sweetbread") and spinach.
