    Default hunting on private land?

i keep my fence locked, yesterday i just happened to be outside and a hunter was scaling my front gate....he looked bewildered when i told him i didnt want him hunting on my land i thought that the locked gate would be a clue that i didnt want drunk guys shooting guns without my direct supervision near my house.....is he allowed to just come onto private property and do what he pleases? can i put up one of those POSTED NO HUNTING TRAPPING etc signs or does that not matter either?

WOW That's just plain ignorant on that hunter's IQ. Must have slept through the part on private property hunting in Hunter's Ed.

Common sence would tell one that's it's a nono but then again common sence isn't very common.

Put up the signs but Yes, it's your private property so no one should be trespassing.

It is ultimately the hunters responsibility to know where he is and who the ownership belongs to. The signs should help but not needed. You can call the sheriff and have him come handle Itif you want, then it's up to you if you want to press trespassing charges.
