For a family you don't have a lot of luxury to say 'no'.

Here's the absolute worst job I ever heard about. I spent a plane ride sitting next to a real sanitation engineer. A fellow who designed sewage treatment plants.

Apparently at some of the sites stuff goes wrong way down in the pipes or whatever is down at the bottom. They actually have a 'shit diver', someone who has to go down in the poop and adjust or clear stuff. They wear a super insulated suit and if it rips at all the diver goes straight to the hospital for IV antibiotics. Zero visibility just feeling your way through the crap. Apparently it isn't a specialty but some people at these plants are trained in how to do this.

Even if they offered you a job as the head of TSA? With no restrictions? Think about it... you could really shake things up there!

I'm just curious. I remember as a kid being able to walk into Friendship Airport, just south of Baltimore (now BWI). You could park across the street for free. Walk in and stroll up to the ticket counters or walk directly to a gate and no one would bother you. We didn't go anywhere, but watched the planes come and go. There was an outside observation deck on the second floor and you could stand out there and watch all day if you had the time.

Times have changed.

I don't know. Most go in at least yearly for a checkup. you definitely are going to see some terribly nasty things. It isn't a job I would never do, but it is definitely a job I wouldn't pick doing.
