Default Went to the range today

Skully and I went out and did a little shooting today. He took his .308 and his 14.5" middy. I brought my middy as well.

Here is Skully on his middy.

And here he is running my middy. (The third shot isn't some kind of double. It's just a shot from another shooter on the line.)

And here is his .308. Hits at 547 yards weren't all that difficult.

A good time was had by all. Skully even helped me out by putting the first scratch on my latest favorite rifle.

You better had been wearing those ear plugs skully

I'm jealous. Would much rather be slinging some lead than sitting at a computer.

Too bad we didn't have that last shot of yours on video.

He hit the gong at 500 meters and nearly had the rifle set down before you heard the noise from the strike.

    It was pretty cool.

Of course I am wearing my plugs, those things are awesome! Worth every penny. Buy me a couple more of them to throw in different cases, just make sure I take them out of the case if I sell it.

If you would rather be shooting then find a job where you can work 4 10 hr days and you can hang out with the cool kids when it is not busy shooting on a Friday morning.

I wish you could have gotten that on video, that was cool.

I was thinking of taking a GO VIDEO camera and making an attachment to the rail on the AR's so I can record the shots down the sight line of the barrel. I know someone else did that somewhere but don't see it too often.................

I was looking at those cameras on-line the other day. The biggest problem is I don't think they have a "zoom" to see the steel swinging at longer distances.
