Any good suggestions on a happy medium between a brake and flash suppressor?
I put the aac-51T brakeout on my sig716 as motivation to get a can. Helped reduce felt recoil a lot but I can't speak to the FS part.

...Thinkin of changing my break to something else....this shit seriously...shits fire..It's ridiculous.
Nothing wrong with a flash suppressor. The recoil of an AR is really very minimal even with no muzzle device, no need to pick the pepper out of the fly shit.
I just ordered the Spikes Dynacomp, should compare with some night shots.

True, and in my case, the AR-15, currently sporting a Vortex, will only get a different FS (AAC-51T) for a screw on can. In the case of the Sig716, a .308 battle rifle, the recoil, while nothing like a bolt gun, was a little harsh and needed taming for consistent follow up shots through glass. The AAC-51T combo brake/FS helped. Hopefully if I have to go dark, the can will be on it.Originally Posted by lead_magnet
