    Default Recommend a Bank?

I'm moving out there this week, and I'll be looking to open up new bank accounts.

Can anyone recommend a bank for basic checking and savings?

I'll be living in Boulder and working in Commerce City if that has any bearing.

    local, locally owned
very few BS fees, I believe they have free checking accounts with a low minimum
they are everywhere in colorado, no fees for their ATM's

    Been with them 20+ years.

I've got to second 1st Bank. I've used them for about 15 years. There are ATM's everywhere, many Kings Soopers have either the ATM or a mini 1st Bank in them, though a different bank is going into new stores. Never had a problem with them and the number of fees has gone done.

I use Chase but it's because 90% of my banking is is done online and they've done the best that I've seen with all of that. Customer service call centers leave a bit to be desired, but I don't need them too often.

Still, the CU's are a great way to go and most of them are in an association so you can use just about any CU ATM or brick and mortar store as if it were your home CU.

+1 There are also quick to credit deposits. If you deposit a check into an ATM you can pull 1/2 out right away. I also use there online service and like it.
