This country is going down the shithole if either of the major 2 parties win. Even your precious Romney whose only plan is to "slow us down" doesn't seem to get it. Too much has been "baked in" at this point, and republicans don't have enough balls to do anything but oversee our decline and blame it on the democrats.

Vote for who you like, it won't make a difference. The dollar will collapse. I'd rather it happen when I'm young enough to recover. Rather than it happen when I'm in a retirement home and at the mercy of the state because my savings evaporated when the rest of the world dumped the dollar as a reserve currency.

Or you could run around fear mongering and pleading to us idiots who can't see "reality" that somehow your candidate will save the world. That seems to help a lot of people feel better.
No offense, but the first part of your post is fear mongering. The paradox!!

The tin foil crowd who believes that they are facing the end of the world as we know it (either of the main parties stay in power) are strong lately!! This country had been much far left in the past (FDR), this country had also endured much higher debt to gdp (120%, again FDR) - we recovered, we moved center, we even moved further right. The sky is not falling. Reference

This cycle has been going on for hundreds of years, and thousands of years in other continents.

That being said, we must keep pressure and stand firm on our belief.

If you're serious, you're doing the right thing. Just so you know, I'm a libertarian at heart too. Given the choice, it's the one I'd take. Unfortunately, it doesn't exist this go-round.

Romney has the skills and knowledge to turn things around. Question will be does he have the character to make the hard choices that may lose him a second term. He says he does. I kind of believe what he's saying, I get a sense he can see the mess we're in and is sincere about trying to fix it, but time and fate will tell. The alternative, Obama, is no mystery at all.

Even if he is sincere, if the senate stays blue righting the ship will be very hard. There are no guarantees of success. Best we can do is keep up the good fight, not throw in the towel. We owe that much to the generations to follow. We don't want to be remembered as the one who's selfishness and short sightedness handed down a collapsed America.
