I understand B-rock would never have the do anything about it, just like Carter wanted a diplomatic solution in 79 when the Iranian students overran our embassy and took 52 hostages and held them for over a year.

Where was the DSS? Why didn't we turn the Marines loose in our embassy in Egypt yesterday? The embassy is American soil.

No, not fuck diplomacy- enforce more diplomacy...

Through the barrel of one of these:

Pancho does make a good point, and I'd like to see what the Libyan government does to exact justice in the situation... my bet though is not much, if anything at all. I'm not for going to war with another country, but if I was president right now, I'd put through for more Marines to be posted at US embassies in these troubled spots and give them a little less strict ROE- basically say "If you feel threatened or if they illegally breach the walls of US Sovereign Territory (which is what our embassies are) you are free to engage at will.

I really don't understand what is the purpose of having a US Embassy in these hostile countries. I see that it can benefit travelers and such, but how many US citizens travel to Libya that can justify having a US Embassy there or in these hostile places?

The sad thing is... It's more for business than diplomacy....

Because, under the current admin., we are expected to lay down our lives for the greater good. One would think that the Marines would have taken out a few of them if they even tried to defend themselves. This greater good mentality is going to enslave us all; our bodies and minds will belong to the collective.

It is an act of war and needs to be treated as such.

They have a nation now so we have a solid, easy to find target instead of a shifting, blending target like in Afghanistan.

    Withdraw all aid and personnel.

Wait until they have a high level government meeting and level the building.

Not these days. Countries are no longer responsible for their people when we label them terrorist.

Severely understaffed DSS currently and it takes a letter from congress, submitted 30 days prior, to use force with DoS nowadays.
