I technically still own mine, even though it tragically fell overboard on my last boating expedition....

I'm in between AR's. Got rid of mine a couple of years ago because I had a baby. Now I feel like I should have one again so I joined the forum to get acquainted with folks before I get back into shooting sports.

that and I wanted to trade my fiero for an AR in the classifieds section and found out i needed 50 posts first. So I traded it for two quads and a tv and stayed a member anyways. I'll just have to buy it new when the time comes.

Wait? this site is about AR's the firearms? I thought it was about Alcohol Anonymous Rejects???

Does it count if I have posters with pictures of ARs on them?

as far as ARs go I am a malfunction magnet. I have handled a State Patrol Vietnam era M-16 that actually functioned properly for me (wasn't mine). Every other one I have owned or fired has jammed, misfed, fallen apart, or somehow malfunctioned. I considered buying a FA M-16 and in the end decided against it as I didn't want to take a chance of having it ruined just by being in my presence.

Every other gun I have owned has pretty well run like a champ with little to no problems.

I have at times considered asking someone here to sit down with me and help me build one from scratch and advise me on what parts to use. Dunno...probably would be a trial of patience for whoever would do it.

I think they you are fairly safe if you have just one. If you have two I am convinced they reproduce, even if they are stored in two separate locations. You end up taking them boating but that doesn't seem to help any. They just keep multiplying.

This is the exact opposite of ammunition. Ammo alway decreases no matter how much you have.
