    Default barrel torque

    I need /want to replace the forend to a free float on my ar rifle. what is the barrel supposed to be torqued to.

    Actually, not. You don't want to over tourque. I did mine by hand, when I threw on the wrench, I barely went a quarter turn before it clicked. And, I do not have Kung Fu grip, at least anymore.

    Then like Tom said, Make sure the holes all line up. If You have to go over 30ft-lbs to get the holes lined up thats fine, just try and not to go over 35. I have read about some bad Ju-Ju from guys that have over tourqued on Arfcom.

    remember the receiver is made out of Aluminum.

    make sure you refrence the TM and use the appropriate lube and torque. the TM is available for download in a PDF if you look for it. (not hard to find)
