Not a subscriber, never owned the mag but one of my readers made me aware of this in RECOIL Issue #4:

I thought Reed Knight's (of Knights Armament) comment was interesting.

Damn, well fellas the subject is even deeper, the German government has decided to not allow even dealers to own H&K weapons as dealer sales samples so there will be no more guns from H&K in anyone but govt agency and LEs "hands" the real question now becomes do we as civilians want to spend our money on H&K product and do we want to arm our US military with German made or designed products. I think H&K is one of the best if not the best small arms companies in the world but fuck their politics, and of we're all so worried about these "deadly" or fairly deadly products getting in the wrong hands then lets just stop importing them all together.

Obviously there is some bias there, him owning a rival company and all.

That said, I've become a big fan of voting with my wallet over the last couple of years. There are some companies I simply will not support because of their policies or politics. I'm going to have to do some reading on this HK issue but they may have just been added to that list.

You're not joking there, those things can be wicked.

But I totally agree with the guy and "voting with his wallet" I won't own ANYTHING made by HK just because they hate civilians. I like thier guns, and they make some cool stuff, but they are a no-go in my book.

Anyone who does buy from HK should reconsider. HK hates you, so why give them your money?
