Hell yeah! My wife became a citizen this year. She is so psyched to be able to vote. It's sad how many Americans don't vote themselves, but many are so ignorant that it may be best if they stay home.

No problem! This is my first time voting in the state of Colorado, and I figured there might be other people on this forum that could benefit from the link to register, update addresses, etc.

Unfortunately there isn't an easy solution to this, but we need to get more EDUCATED people to vote - people who can actually tell you about all the candidates and their rationale for voting a certain way. I didn't vote in the first few elections after I turned 18, and for no real good reason. It's a shame, but back then my vote wouldn't have helped our current cause anyway. I'm glad to be more politically educated and more aware now, and I'm glad to be able to exercise a privilege that isn't recognized in many places around the world.

Ironic since voting is the only thing you should ever really need to show an ID for, right?

I had to update my voter information the other day because I'm moving back up to Evergreen at the end of this month- that would suck, living in Evergreen and having to drive down to Lakewood to vote...

HoneyBadger, thanks for putting this up. Chuck Norris said it in an interview not too long ago- "We need to get people to get out and vote, that's where the republicans got hammered in 2008, so many didn't register or flat out didn't vote.

What? 2 years ago, I went down to the Jeffco office here in Evergreen to vote (it was a polling place) and they turned away an elderly lady because she wasn't registered... So one would think, if they haven't changed it, that if you need a DL to register, and you need to be registered to vote, problem solved? Right? Oh wait, they give DL's to illegals too...

For sure. I do mail in ballot and almost forgot to change my address, but I remembered with plenty of time.
