    Default 2016

So all of the libertarians on this board are thought of as "not understanding how things really worK" etc.

I have a proposition. Since this is "THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION EVER" I might be willing to hold my nose and vote Romney. In exchange, in 2016, not only will I vote what I actually believe in, not who I think will win, not against the guy who I can't let win. I want all of you to do the same. Since that election won't be as important and all.

GB, If I thought Johnson had even a hint of a chance this election, I'd vote for him in a heartbeat. Believe it or not, you're not the only one holding their nose this time. I do practice what I preach. Romney was one of my least appealing choices during the primary. Not that we actually had any say in it. By the time it came to be Colorado's turn to speak, the game was in the books.

If Romney loses, watch for a 3rd party to take a more serious run at it next time. And with the damage Obama will do, watch for even Democrats to become willing to take a shot on them.

Now the scary part is what if theres more of the same kind of schmucks running then?? More battles of the lesser of 2 evils again and another step back for the U.S.A.

It would be nice if they presented us with some decent candidates but I guess we shall see what kind of wake up call were going to get..

God help us all. For reason I can't get the sound of a toilet flushing out of my head.

I have to sort of agree with you. I am not necessarily libertarian but I certainly don't consider myself republican. I think it is important for the task at hand to to rid the white house of its current occupant...then start bringing out a new party to run. That's just my thought.

I'm sure they will dredge up the next new "villian" in 2016 so it will become the "most important election ever" again....

And it just might be true again, as it is this time.

If listened to them cry wolf for 50 years. I always rolled my eyes. This time I believe it true.

Maybe so. I guess I'm just a little more pessimistic about the system that rules us.

I dont necessarily belive what Romney has to say on financial, budget, or similar policy issues, but I do believe he will not increase gun control and in fact may restore some of the freedoms we have already lost.

I 100% believe Obummer that he wants more than anything else to disarm the populace, that NO ONE should own a gun for ANYTHING and these are among his personal goals.I believe every single word he has to say about taking individual rights and trashing any inconvienent personal freedoms we enjoy. I believe him when he says this.

    You should to.

    Romneys 2nd record- http://www.goal.org/newspages/romney.html

Obummer did sign the open carry in parks thing, but it was bundled with a lot of other stuff and he had no choice but to sign it into law. NOT the same as supporting anything fellas.

You can vote for whomever you want. I know who I am voting for, and its not because I believe he is the ideal candidate. Such a person does not exist. Never will. I am a Republican, because my values are most closely reflected by that party. I do not agree with everything the party has to say and I do not believe in many things the party has done, however NO PARTY will ever be everything, and any party that seems to be "perfect" to you should immediately be suspect. The things I dont like about the party- like a continuing interest and debate on abortion, gay marriage, etc. that I believe detract from more pressing issues, I tend to ignore and work from within to get people to focus on what I do believe is important, like actual better education, fiscal responisbility, strong foreign policy etc.
