.177 or .22 cal version of it? I've been wanting to grab one of the ultra high velocity air-guns, and can't decide between the high power or cheaper ammo of hte .22/.177.

    Nice. Great to hear.

I occasionally use my mid level .177 air gun to take out pesky pigeons. Would be good to have a bit more stopping power for them. A faster .177 would probably do, but a fast .22 would be better.

Just don't like the pricy pellet prices of the .22.

This review might have helped me justify the price.

before you buy let me say it is annoying as hell to recharge it it takes 50 pumps of this bike pump to bring it from 2000 to 3000 psi and you have to recharge every 20 shots if your planning on shooting a lot this comes into play.....that being said this will bust a pigons ass its accurate enough to put one in its eye if you wanted to

Yeah.... You can also refill it from a large tank, so I read...

My father and I are very into brewing; we have many 5lb CO2 tanks, and a few 25lb CO2 tanks for carbonating and serving. From what I understand, I could hook this puppy up to any of those for a few seconds and have it good to go for another 20 rounds. We fill in bulk at dimes per pound, so it would be completely worth it for me to charge off of a tank instead of pumping. And the 5lb tanks should fill it a couple of hundred times, and be light enough to bring on any hunting trip.

Whatcha think? I'm thinking its a pretty good fit for me.

They state right in the description:" Not for use with CO2. use with compressed air Only."

Dang. Suppose i could always repurpose a tank or two for compressed air. Its cheaper to fill anyways.

Im more curious about the types of adapters / regulators necessary to fill the gun.

My Marauder can use CO2 or air.

Some paintball guns run off of air or CO2. You can get the tanks filled at paintball shops inexpensively.
