    Question 9mm Load

I have a bunch of 158gn JHP 357 bullets I was thinking of using for sub-sonic loads in a 9mm. Was thinking of resizing them to 356 (lee), but I am having a hard time finding a good load. Was wondering if anyone has done this - plan to use them in a M-11 (full auto)

    Thanks

I think you are going to come across 2 problems.
First off the length of the 158's are going to have to be set too deep into the brass creating case bulge. The inside of the 9mm case is tapered from front to back and there are problems with some 147 grain 9mm bullets in some brass.
Second it will have to be a very light load. To not exceed pressures even in the 147 grain loads they will fail to function some guns. Most 147 grain rounds are sub-sonic or close to it. I would caution against making a bunch for full auto fire if they won't cycle reliable.

    Good luck with your project.

Here is the only data I have seen:
    SP2 From 4.5 grains to 4.9 grains

I might be confused but aren't cast 9mm sized to .356" and jacketed are sized to .355"?
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.

It may fall under "don't try this at home", but I've shot several thousand 125gr .38 Super (.356") bullets through a variety of 9mm handguns / carbine.

    Loaded minor / subsonic w/Titegroup.

    Never had any problems.
