    Default 9 mm light loads?

Does anybody have a recipe for a 9mm load that is not so punishing for a petite woman to practice with?
    Thanks!

    Light bullets will reduce recoil.
90 grain about 1200-1300ft/sec should still function most pistols.

If you reduce the load too much it become a single shot in most guns.

    I use 5.5 grains of Win 231 for a velocity around 1250

Before you make a bunch, test a few to make sure they will cycle your gun.
I know that at 4.5 grains of Win 231 it will not cycle most pistols with a velocity around 1000ft/sec...but is a really tame load to teach newbies with.
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Depending on the pistol. I know wolff makes a 10lb recoil spring for Beretta 92 series pistols and you can load pretty light and still function. If its a Glock I would bet you could find a reduced rate spring for those to. Its a 2 minute job to replace a recoil spring at the range.
    Just an idea

    Thanks for the advice
Colorado Osprey I'll try 100 of your recipe, my wife will shoot a .22 all day and can score with it but when she tries the 9mm she has trouble keeping it on the paper. I think this will help and she is determend to shoot the 9mm well also.

    mr will,
The pistol we are working with is a Kahr P9, the action on it is very tight- probably the tightest I have used and I am not sure if there are very many aftermarket parts available for it yet.

I just picked up a new HK 9mm for target and home defence and I think with it's larger size and smoother action she should do better with it.
