I was just thinking... about my "Lil bitch" process

.. a lady told me the same (check cashed in late Feb. and went pending I think late March or some sh*t) and she was off by a month and a few weeks.. if remember correctly Late September or early October..

I got mine early which was a treat... can we say X-mas in August

Patience... it pays off in the end

Bought an SRT Shadow-Ti for my Sako TRG 22 (.308). During the eternal wait, I developed a love of shooting .22LR out past 400 yards and sold off the TRG. What seemed like a lifetime later, the phone rings saying my paperwork is approved for the SRT can. -call and have adapter made, run .308 can on .223!

Do you guys really call them to ask what the status is?

I kinda figured leaving them alone would get things done quicker. I mean with 1000's of these things pending even if just 1% of the people called each day to get a status check that's 10 phone calls per day, each taking what 5 minutes? All the callers just knocked an hour out the screeners day, and being government workers they probably only work 4 hours a day to begin with.

A heavier buffer will slow down the bolt action. Ejecting past the 3'oclock position just means that the bolt is moving faster than it has to. Harder on the gun. Shouldn't have a problem with running it dirty tho.

You never talk to the people that are processing the the form if all you ask about is the status. The person answering the phone just checks the status on a computer. You are not disturbing the examiner. If you have any other questions they will give you the number to contact the person doing your form.

I didn't check the status on a Form 1 I sent in for six months. When I did call I found out it had been mailed three months earlier. I had to request an official copy. The copies don't have a stamp which is kinda a bummer. So I normally check the status after about what is the normal processing time just to make sure it wasn't lost somewhere.
