I worked the Zombie Squad for 18 years for snow removal. Sucks when you get a storm that has you on shift for a couple days, then it clears out and you go back to days for a couple of days then back on so shift for 3 or 4 days.
Six weeks of that crap and you don't know if it is day or night, if your coming or going.
I worked nights solid for 2 winters so I would be on an even keel. Ha, what a joke-you lose at least 10 hours of sleep per week and then try to build your garage after you get off of work at 5 am.
Add to that the fun of a 2 year old and the babysitter quits with no notice. Had to deal with that for two weeks till we found another one.
But the best part-one morning I have the kids eating breakfast before the wife gets up and I am on the couch sipping on a barley pop watching the news.
She starts in with "what the hell are you doing, drinking a beer @ 7:00 am?"
"Honey, its 9 at night for me"
"but watching you drink a beer while the kids are eating breakfast...."
"Ok, don't watch me drink a beer and I won't watch you put on your makeup"
And that's how the fight started.......
To those that work the Zombie Squad. It aint easy.....
