Got into an accident last thursday approx 1530, exiting the off ramp from I-76 & 88th ave. Dual exit lanes (flea market congestion) they put up Lane indicating signs, I got off in the right lane and the sign indicated I could take a left, stright or right and the left lane was Left turn only. The asshat in the left lane decided he was going to take a right and nailed me. I haven't had my clock rung like that since freestyle wrestiling.

CHP and CCPD could not get a car out because they had another emergency situation so we exchanged info and I call my Insurance as soon as I got home approx 1645. They had a rental car (wife is driving) for me by Friday morning and the picked up my commuter car tuesday and yesterday my adjuster called me to tell me that my car was totaled and he had a check waiting for me at the service center. I will get my deductable back once the other asshats insurance accepts liability ($500). So total I got back about 1k more than I paid for my car.

Its nice to have more money but I was truly impressed with the speed and attention my clam has been processed. So back to spending more on gas by using the truck, oh well its almost winter anyway.

Glad it worked out for you- I've heard both good and bad about Progressive (and we represent them)... They're my insurance so I'm now glad I have them. I'm also happy they'll be successful with subrogation, I've heard too many horror stories where the other company refuses to pay for everything. Also glad you were able to get it handled without a police report, because then the other company can contest who is actually at fault.

^^ this plus most homeowners will not be happy with progressive. Their bundle suck ass. I think they only target apartment dweller or single folks - which typically pay more for their vehicle coverage.

I've had them for probably ten years, and I won't switch. Too many good experiences with them. Even when it hasn't been my fault or their liability, they always work on my behalf.

The other company can always contest who is at fault, regardless of a police report. Insurance companies prefer to handle the damages to their insureds, then subrogate for the money back, instead of just letting the other carrier make the repairs. That is why they got you all taken care of so quickly; instead of trying to guide you to the claimant's insurance carrier.

I wished there was a police report honestly, I also have a witness statement confirming the dirctional signs and the whole incident. I'm just pleased that is has not drug on. I havent been involved in an accident since 1999 and havent had a ticket since 03.
