    Default craigslist posting of firearms

Not sure if this is the forum for this post, but I just wanted to throw this out there . In light of the scrutiny we as responsible gun owners face and as heated as that scrutiny becomes when tragedy befalls a community, we should not be posting firearms for sale on craigslist when the tos of craigslist specifically forbids it. I understand you can orchestrate a legitimate sale through craigslist, but it is still not something the general public views as legitimate. Do you want to be the one who sold dipshit a rifle through craigslist and then he does something dumb with it? Forums such as this one give you plenty if access yo responsible legitimate owners (yes they can contain idiots too). Finally, it's quite obvious you are posting in craigslist and here when you are using the same pictures. Just a friendly reminder, be responsible.

Not trying to be argumentative, but be careful with such sweeping statements! Many pics get 'borrowed' from the web and re-used in other people's ads. It's often one sign of a scam!

I agree that no one should violate the TOS of Craigslist, and we should be responsible...

I've been sitting on this post for some time deciding whether or not it's my issue to bother with. The same individual has been posting in both forums for a couple months now, so I'm sure it's the same person. Same prices same setups and similar descriptions, sure it could be a post thief, but I'm fairly certain it isn't. Regardless it's a good reminder and I hope an appreciated perspective.

Beyond a doubt are you sure it it a member from here?
If so perhaps you should have contacted the mods before chastising an entire gun community.

It does not matter where a gun comes from. Those who do not like guns will seek any excuse to put them in a negative light. Remember Holmes was able to buy SIX THOUSAND ROUNDS ON THE INTERNET!!!
Can you believe it SIX THOUSAND ROUNDS......... PASS NEW LAWS.
We are in a lose-lose situation no matter how careful we as gun owners are.

ever think of using a pm rather than putting this on a public forum first? where anyone (big bro) can bring it up on a random search?

This is certainly not chastising, no way this is brought up without someone getting butt hurt. A pm would have been looked at as an attack too. Violating craigslist tos isn't against the law, it's against craigslist tos. It's about perception and protecting yourself, that's all I'm getting at.

Maybe a username change to CraigslistPoPo is in order. Frankly, I don't think it's any of your business. And it certainly isn't appropriate to bring it up in general discussion. That's why Craigslist has a reporting system...so you can report ToS violations.

Contrary to what others have said here, I think that you bring up a good point and I applaud you for having the b@lls to start a discussion on the topic.

This isn't craiglist....... If you see a post you dont like on cl flag it and address their mods not here. Or just go directly to the "men seeking men" section and post it there.

You all should be concerned, this directly reflects on this community. If you don't understand that then oh well. If I were a snitch I'd have outed the person, which is another reason I didn't PM. I'm not looking at getting people in trouble, I'm starting a discussion. Name calling and insinuations don't make you look cool, that ended back in high school for most of us. Please disagree respectfully and keep this forum adult.
