new craigslist truck....thanks aurora pd
So I was surfing through craigslist looking for a new truck in our price range of 2000(haha), and I see this listed way out of my price range at 3600.

Well, 2 hours later its back up @ 3200obo.
So, I lowball at 1800$, and we finally settle on 1950. I pack the fam up, and were off to Aurora (note the nice neighborhood in the backround). Ive visited a lot of you guys up in denver/aurora area, its always sucky to drive up there, but the neighborhoods are always nice and well maintained.
Well, the guy says to meet him at colfax and beeler, so I plugged it into the gps and off we go. Well, as we turn onto colfax it was a little run down, but nothing too bad. (prior to me moving here i was a mile away from newark, nj which is not the nicest place in the world)
As we turn onto beeler, it looked and felt as if we were turning onto that street from training day that denzel lived on.
Now, I had called the guy when my gps said 10 min, and he said he'd be waiting at the car. After 10 min go by, the fat white fellow in the boonie hat and camo shorts was attracting quite a bit of attention. I had waves of crackheads come up to me and demand money "yo GIVE me a dollar". I had to push one back after he drunkly stumbled within less then a foot of me. At this point I start second guessing not putting the 13 round mag in the glock 30. Mamabear had her little bodyguard unholstered in her purse. Well the whole time we were sitting there, this aurora leo keeps circling the block staring us down. Finally, after 20 min he pulls up and says "what are you doing here?" So I told him that we are buying the yukon that's sitting there. He asks how much Im buying it for, and how I was paying for it. I replied 1900 and cash, its like we stole it. Wrong choice of words! "You stole it?" I turned bright tomato red, and quickly explained, "Ahh, no, its like we stole it because its so cheap. So after chatting for a few minitues about how this was THE WORST street in Co, he offered to run the vin and plates on the yukon to ensure it wasn't actually a stolen vehicle. He then parked across the street the entire time we were there. (over an hour) I unfortunately was to preoccupied to catch his name, but I did call the station after i got home and thanked them. It would have been VERY uncomfortable to sit and count out a couple thousand bucks without an officer there, and it was awesome of him to go out of his way to look after me and my f.amily like that
So, we ended up getting an awesome deal on our new truck. Its got a few issues, and needs some new tires, but man I couldn't be happier with it!!!
Here's when we got home from our trip to downtown Beruit
