new laser grips on my .45
Just got these new CTC Crimson Trace laser grips for my Rock Island Armory 1911A1 GI .45. Got 'em on Ebay from DiscountGunDealer.com for $256.90 total.

Nice set up. I love the crimson trace grips on my Beretta.

I LOVE my RIA! It's the only 1911 I've ever owned, so I'm biased, but it seems to be very well made. Haven't shot it a lot yet, but I've had no issues with it, other than seeing the tiny little combat sights with my old, worn-out eyes.
I hang out at 1911forum.com, and the RIA's seem to be highly thought of there. One guy has well over a dozen of them, all styles and sizes.
Mine is the basic 1911A1 GI combat style, no frills, just what I wanted. I bought it at the Big R Farm and Ranch store in Elizabeth for $379.99 on sale. They typically run from $360 to $400, from what I've seen. Finding them in stock someplace might be an issue, but I've heard of a lot of guys buying them from Sarco(?) too.
FWIW, I'm supposed to meet tomorrow with another member from here, and buy a Stainless Springfield Loaded from him.
I like those grips on yours! Where'd you find 'em?

The Big R is a great place to find deals. They had Glock 17 or 22 for sale one day for $420+tax. Where else can you buy tractor tires, barb wire, cowboy boots, bait, guns, and food under one roof.
The grips are from Hoague.

I called 'em yesterday, and the guy said they're going to have all their Hi-Point guns on sale towards the end of August.

Just wondering.
When I put the CT grips on my 1911, the screws were just a little too long, and I had to back them out a bit so that the mags wouldn't catch on them. Did you have any problem with this?
