Default Dont park in the handicap spot you cripple!

So my wife and i are having to live in an apartment instead of our home because I was hurt at the beginning of 2012. I am in a wheelchair and having to learn to walk over the next 3 years, if not, i will be in a wheelchair. There are a few handicap spots in the complex and my wife and I park in one of them. Today I go out to the vehicle and there is a note on my window. The note basically said I am rude, inconsiderate, and that I shouldn't park in the handicap spot because other people need to use it. Apparently everyone is mad at me and its a huge problem according to the note. I called the main office and asked about people reporting me and they said there is nothing on record. I talked to the only other wheelchair confinded person in the complex and she was mad and offended as she parks in one of the other handicapped spots. The note contained no name or anything and there are about 5 other spots with in 75 yards of the spot we use.

So I have a handicap placard for my vehicle and my wifes vehicle so everything is perfectly legal. Who tells a guy in a wheelchair to not park in the handicapped spot?

Sorry ....this is a bit of a rant.

With a note and not face to face? Some lightweight pansy who'd piss their pants if the tv volume was to loud when they turned it on, that's who.
They left a note, not man or woman enough to talk to you isn't worth your time to stress out about.
If they do call me i'll wheel up, hang my HC tag , trip them with my cane and you can run them over.
Then we can put nasty notes on their windshield once they are able to walk again.

Now, why in the world would you consider parking in a handicap spot (just because you're entitled to use it, for its intended purpose) when you know you'll be inconveniencing some poor soul who wants to use it so they don't have to walk as far when they're unloading their groceries? I'm sure that person has more right to use it than you do...after all, I'll bet they've done everything right, voted for Obama, held their hand out for anything they could get, (aw, hell, I could go on and on!) and yet you insist on using that spot instead!

    (Heavy sarcasm there...)

I'd put up a sign, as big as I could find, and say something like -

To the individual who left the note on my vehicle: My apologies for being, as you put it, "Rude and Inconsiderate". I feel bad that my disability is inconveniencing others "who need to use the space". You probably just got your welfare check and food stamps, and had a lot of groceries paid for by other's tax dollars that you needed to carry in, and my inconsideration in using a handicap space for what it is intended for was inexcusable. Since you left no name or phone number on your note, I'll assume that you have no more balls than a mouse, and would probably wet yourself if there was an actual confrontation on this subject. So how about you just go f*** yourself, and leave me alone?

if you want a spot for parking directly in front of your building the apartment has to give it to you. ada compliance is mandatory if you get another person who needs a spot keep that in mind.

This spot is not in front of my place. It is in one of the mass parking lots. There are other spots around this general area. Being in a wheelchair I need a van spot due to the others being to small. We park one vehicle in our driveway and one in the handicapped spot.

I am not concerned as I am perfectly legal.

OK that was the best thing I have read in some time!

If the writer of the note doesn't have the cojones to talk to you personally, forget it ever happened.
