My dog- vet question

Seriously though you are a fountain of knowledge.

Dad was a Veterinarian and the Mrs manages an all natural, holistic pet "Boutique".(only way I can afford the "good stuff")
You would be amazed just what effect diet has on a domestic animal, they are much more sensitive to it than we are.
My wife has relayed to me a couple of instances where vets have essentially given up on an animal due to diabetes. With a change of diet (and sticking to it) they have been able to virtually eliminate the diabetes.
Skin problems, eye problems, joint issues and such can all be addressed through diet and quite often with astounding results.

What do you suggest for additions to dog diets? My spoiled rotten malinois gets IAMS, an occaisonal pound of burger, and daily fish oil.
