I did not start anything just spoke my mind and I did not imply anybody from this site or all people who ride them are “morons”

Let’s look at the facts what is a “crotch rocket”, “sport bike” or any other name you wish to call it. I have rode for over 20 years I have had dirt bikes all the way up to my Harley and every bike in between.

First off they are race bikes not street bikes they are some of the most sophisticated highly tuned bikes on the planet. They are made for one thing and that is to push the limits. A crotch rocket at 150 mph handles better than my Harley at 30 mph. They have a short wheel base the forks are raked in they are built for speed. Need I mention they HP to weight ratio is probably 2-3 times what any street bike is.

Why do you never see a street bike doing wheelies or stopies or any of that other crap???? Simple they can’t the bike is not capable of it. Hence why sport bikes get a bad rap they can do it and those that ride them do it. It is not a stereo type it is a fact.

I am not saying that all people who own them ride like morons but the fact is most of them do. I have seen many street bike riders including Harley guys ride like complete morons the fact is it probably 100 to 1 compared to sport bikes.

I went on a ride 1 ½ months ago with some customers that always call me when they set up a ride. Both of them have Jap bikes we met at the Fort restaurant in Morrison. They invite everybody they know with a bike so the spectrum is very broad. About 25 bikes showed up two of which were young men on crotch rockets. I had no problem with them they rode very responsibly and I would ride with them any day again.

Like I said ride what ever you like I don’t care but if you ride with me you best have common sense or I won’t ride with you.

NOW that this is over somebody pick a date and lets all get together and ride. The only person I have rode with from this site is 7idl.

    He rides like a girl.

Nothing to live down let the legend live my HD has almost 90K on it has been all over this country and only broke down once the coil went out. I had a spare and was back on the rode in minutes.

I will admit it does leak oil and I have never been able to stop it but it only leaves a few spots when parked. I love the stereotype would never own another bike if my life depended upon it.

    Any contradictions?

What "fact" do you base this on? what one person (you) sees in a day?

After riding for 28 years I gave up street bike riding after a "moron" turned left in front of my R100RT with no turn signal on a mountain road. After three surgeries and two years of physical therapy I was finally able to scratch my nose again - shattered my elbow into about a hundred pieces, but fortunately was wearing my leathers and helmet and count myself lucky I came back.

For 15 years I was a biker without a bike - those of you that are bikers know what I mean - until I couldn't stand it anymore. Now I ride a Suzuki DR Z400S for mostly dirt and mountain roads while camping. My wife, who was my faithful passenger for 21 of those years, now has a Honda Ruckus for running around.

Are there any dirt bike riders out there that like to ride off Rampart Range Road or any other areas?

This is a thread about getting together for some informal bike riding,

much like our COAR team shoots... we're just a bunch guys (women included) getting together and riding.. No one cares about what you ride, just be a safe rider around everyone else.

can't respect that? don't bother joining the ride!

you want to piss and moan about something, make a new thread or take it to IM and deal with it person to person.

I had a DR650 for a few years, but the DRZ400 really rocks in the dirt. It may be near the same weight as your DR350 with race bike suspension and lots more power - of course I don't come anywhere near pushing it to it's limits, except with my 210 lbs.
