I had a driver while in Siberia whose car did not have functional seatbelts. After the first time, I had the drill down. As we approached the traffic circle and slowed to drive past the police, I put an old seatbelt strap across my shoulder and held it on an angle toward my waist. You don't want the police waving that white baton at you!

I like how the driver appeared to hanging onto the steering wheel as he flipped out the front of the truck. He made it look better than many Hollywood stunts.
