Default minor rant about the trading post..

Is it just me or does anyone else find that its very interesting that someone (typically a newer member not unlike myself) will buy an upper for $250 or so, a lower for $200 or so, throw in a bcg for $180, and the next thing you know they post it as a complete rifle in the trading post for $800 or more? Its fairly comical but a tick insulting at the same time, pretty blatantly assuming members cannot do math.

I guess this is more of an observation than rant...

I think he is saying they make a complete gun from the parts and then resell for more than the sum of the parts,

Darn those damn people for charging for their time and labor.

Not everyone has the time, tools, know how or the desire to build something so they pet to pay for the convenience of buying something complete.

You can buy every single piece to build your own car too, but are you gonna do that??

Simple fix, if you dont like someones price, move on. The market will dictate if a price is fair or not.

not into capitalism? "insulted" by someone else's actions in the marketplace where you perceive they may be making a potential profit?

Forced purchases at exorbitant rates don't seem to happen on a trade forum, usually that is left to health insurance.

while I think I understand the nature of your post, I can't sit idle while seemingly innocent statements creep into "our" vocabulary.

This one time, I saw an item in the trading post that was priced higher than I was willing to pay. So, like, I just decided NOT to buy it.

I know. It was really empowering knowing I could make that sort of huge decision for myself. I might try it again some time. It's really cool being able to make decisions like that. It's almost like I'm responsible for what I buy or don't buy.
Shocker...another complaint about the best online gun-related buy/sell/trade classifieds in the state. Oh...did I mention it's entirely FREE to do business there and you can generally trust those you CHOOSE to do business with? There...I just did.

I'm now gonna go pound my head against a wall.
