When seconds count, the police are mere minutes away...
Gun registration is gun confiscation in slow motion.

It's a measure of the civility in this country that no ones seems to fear constantly pissing off the people who own lots of guns.
Wondering if you're in the same groups I am.

So years ago I was walking up to a Walmart in Lexington, Kentucky and a woman in an immaculate, jet-black HUGE SUV (Expedition or Suburban?) turned a corner in front of the store and struck a parking lot bollard with the left front fender.
Her solution to the problem? To floor it, dragging the bollard across the entire left side of the car, from stem to stern. I was completely gobsmacked as this unfolded right in front of me.
I can still almost hear the several seconds of rending metal.
O2

I was at a small gas station once. The way the pumps were arranged it was a tight squeeze getting a full size truck on one side of the pumps. Watched a guy with a truck pulling a big camper try to pull in on that side. Drug the side of the camper along the bollard until he caught the first tire and blew it out. As he got out to investigate what he had just done all I can remember is his wife just chewing him out.
I was in San Francisco in the Seventies looking at Lombard Street when a large Cadillac went down.
It hit each of the curved concrete walls, scraping the sides and knocking off the door handles.
Never Stopped!
One of the residents came out to see what the noise was and calmly commented it happened 2 or 3 times a month.
Got to know your limitations.
